Benimaurell Sierra del Penyó

This route begins at the parking lot in Benimaurell and goes through the town's interior.

Upon leaving the town, you will start the ascent toward the ridge of the Sierra del Penyó. This part of the mountain is oriented to the north, so you may find some shade, especially in the winter during the climb.

To your left, impressive views of the Mediterranean Sea stretch out. Behind you, the village recedes, and you can also spot the other villages of the Vall de Laguart.

Once on the ridge, you will enjoy panoramic 360° views.

In front of you, the Cavall Verd, the summit of the mountain, hides part of the Vall de Pop, leaving only the village of Benigembla visible.

You will continue the route along a well-marked rocky ridge until you reach a junction. From here, take the path to the left to descend to the Coll, where the La Venta del Collao restaurant is located.

Here you can take a break to refresh yourself before completing the route by descending again toward Benimaurell.
