Murla Ermita y Castellet
This route will take you through history, allowing you to discover three of Murla's main monuments.
You will begin at a parking area located slightly higher than the village. From there, you will enter the old town through the main street and head towards the Church of Murla.
After admiring this magnificent church full of history, you will begin your ascent towards the Hermitage, following its Stations of the Cross.
The effort will be worth it, as you will enjoy stunning views of the valley. Once at the hermitage, you can rest on one of the benches in front of it and learn about its history.
The route continues descending along a different cobbled path. When you reach the bottom, you will walk a few meters along the road that leads to Vall de Laguart before turning right onto a trail that will lead you to your third destination: the Castle of Murla.
Along the way, to your left, you will find the remains of the Fontilles Wall, which once protected the inhabitants from the leprosy patients who were treated at Fontilles.
Finally, you will begin the ascent towards the Castle of Murla. Although the path is more rocky, the journey is not very long.
Once at the top, you will be able to enjoy spectacular views before beginning your descent and returning to the starting point.
